Aubrey Murray San Luis Obispo CA Obituary: Cal Poly is mourning the loss of senior electrical engineering major Aubrey Murray, who passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. The university’s Office of Student Affairs shared the news, highlighting Murray’s active engagement in hands-on learning and her recent involvement with the Cal Poly Climbing Club.

Murray’s death marks the fourth student passing at Cal Poly since December 2024, following the loss of Christina DeChalk, a third-year computer science major and member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, who who died on January 26, 2025.

Nico Goon, a first-year civil engineering student from Reno, Nevada, passed away on December 29, 2024, due to an accidental drowning.

James Soulie-Washburn, a first-year transfer student majoring in architecture from Encinitas, California, died on December 2, 2024.

The university is providing support to Murray’s family and friends during this difficult time.
